Hi, I'm Mary Norvell and I teach kindergarten. This is my 17th year at Dallas City Elementary. Teaching primary is so much fun! I love how excited the kids are when they begin really reading.
When I 'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I live with my husband, Doug and our dog, Blanco ( a great pyrenees /lab mix) and our cat Patches (a tortie).
I have two grown children, Molly and Nate and five grandchildren : Isaiah, Jazzy, Aiden and the twins, Madeline and Miles.
I have lots of hobbies. I like to garden, read, scrapbook, and make altered books, clothes and jewelry. I also like to play Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Bejeweled , and Free Cell. My only wish is that I had more time.
Read every day! Read a book together and talk about it. Also practice letter sounds and High Frequency Words. Your child may have a small book with the skill we are working on in his or her Bee Binder.
Be sure and check their Bee Binder everyday.
